Welcome to Introduction to Ethnic Studies for Self-Empowerment, where we will explore Ethnic Studies by uncovering our histories and sharing our stories, a transformative exploration of critical race theory and comparative race relations in the U.S. This course is designed for people of color from all walks of life, regardless of your career, educational background, or interests.
Ethnic studies is a field for everyone, and you don't need a degree or college enrollment to explore and understand its rich content. This course not only offers a space to delve into the complexities of ethnicity, race, class, gender, and sexuality within the context of power dynamics but also creates a safe and supportive environment for people of color to collectively explore and process this knowledge together.

Course Structure: This course will consist of four class sessions. The course meets once a week for a 90-minute live session, providing a structured opportunity for real-time engagement. During each class, we will explore and engage with a central theme and time for discussion. All class sessions will be recorded, allowing participants the opportunity to revisit the content at their convenience.
Access: Please ensure that you have a Gmail account for accessing all course materials and information through Google Docs and Google Classroom.
Fees: $88 for all four courses, pay via PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo upon enrollment acceptance.
