*Ethnic Studies is an interdisciplinary field that explores the histories, experiences, and contributions of ethnic and racial groups. It aims to address systemic inequalities, promote social justice, and foster inclusivity by examining issues related to power, identity, racism, gender, class, sexuality, intersectionality, discrimination, and social intersections. Ethnic and Chicano/a Studies are fields born out of social justice movements of the 1960s. To inquire about Dr. Yañez's full CV please email via the Contact Page.
